it has been spring for a month now

It has been spring for a month now.
Somedays it has already been too hot for me...

I fret that spring will be gone and summer will be here, hot and furious, before we ever had nice working in the yard, 55 degree weather.

Then somedays I wish it'd warm up and stop raining...I'm tired of the cold...and I have to remember we have already had a barefoot walk with the nieces and nephews! and gelato on the front porch swing...

So mostly I am just savoring spring for what it is...somedays so colorful, warm, sunny...
somedays so grey, rainy, enough already...

I know that before we know it, it will be too hot... and humid...but for now every moment seems to change...the grass is wildly green...the trees are just pushing out their fresh green leaves, although the tree line is still far from green, it is more soft brownish red of new buds and dark rain soaked bark...the flowering trees are glorious and seem to fade too fast...the pear trees have turned green, the yellow of the forsythia is replaced with the purple of the red buds...some of the pink dogwoods are blooming... though we're still waiting for white dogwoods...
but the trilliium is already blanketing the sides of hills.
