Bought our plan tickets to Germany! And suddenly the red suitcase, which has been tucked away and forgotten under a dresser all these months...has poked its head out again....
The red suitcase initially came back from Germany with the big kids...
to hold their overflow items, after the first visit (to my brother and sister-in-law's) in 2002...
Actually theirs' was the second trip to Germany...
Their father before them, at about the same age as our kids were when they traveled; 15 and 17
went with his sister to Europe for the summer of 1974 to visit Aunt Gussie...
and toured Germany as part of their travels...
The next visit to Germany was the boys World Youth Day pilgrimage in Cologne...in 2005...
And now in 2010 it is finally my turn to travel to Germany for the birth of our first grandchild...in April.
(The 'grandfather' will join us after his semester ends in May.)
Who would have thought that this Filipino woman with the 100% Italian husband and their four kids would have Germany as their common travel distination?!?!
