life reflections...
these last few days
were extraordinarily ordinary...
I recycled...
did my errands...
(ink for my printer)
spent wednesday, saturday and sunday afternoons
with my girl
saw the babies
celebrated and spent my favorite time of the week
with my women friends...
enjoyed an evening in our friends' home
spent time with my mom
wrote to my baby sister
talked to my brother
loved my husband...
and had all our kids home...
(except the one who I'm trying to get to...)
and got to celebrate some very special occassions as well
katherine and ben's baby shower...
the joy of seeing dear old friends...
and celebrating the birth of a new little one...a boy...
to share in the way we 'do' things...
showering...gifting...blessings...prepraring the way
the food....mmmm, the homemade Italian cookies
cakes as if it were a weddingthe cute little onesie cookie favors
the baby blanket that the baby's great grandma/bes nanna hand crocheted
with such love and attention
batiste linen, all cotton...
as soft and beautiful and precious as she is!
the great grandparents...met in Italy during the war...
he brought her here to live, they had their children
then grandchildren and now great grandchildren...
all these days, all of them
are full of the celebration of the gift of family
new little ones to love, born into family, born into places of love...
this little one
our family
my god daughter
(her god father...estranged from his family, for now?!?)
her mother, my husband's youngest sister...
who I've known since she was two years old
I've watched her grow...
and marry
and have their children
and now I...and my children...
watch these five...little ones grow
grow so quickly
yet just as they should
time passes
now we are to be 'grandparents'
(although as of this morning...he's still in there!)
pop
family...
yours...mine...ours
casp and tess
uncle bim and his melanie
uncle steve
and a happy auntie coco
"Now thank we, all, our God
with hearts and hands and voices
Who wonderous things hath done
in whom His world rejoices...
Who from our mother's arms
has blessed us on our way...
with countless gifts of love
and still is ours today
Oh good and gracious God
thru all our lives be near us
with ever grateful hearts
and blessed peace to cheer us
Preserve us in His grace
and guide us in distress
and free us from all sin
till heaven we possess"
We each are here to walk our own journey...
alone
together
with God
and tomorrow
with the grace God...
I will take my next step
over the seas
thru a volcano
to meet our newest little family
and to welcome our new little one...
into this sweet, crazy, wonderous, glorious world
and to become a grandma

Aw thank you allison! ALl you have to do is play with the photoshop test it out on your own, you will get it. Remember- classes just give you steps on how to make what someone ELSE thinks is art, not you. Ditch the class and just get into it yourself!
LUCK to ya!
Yael
