I actually went to the airport, checked luggage, boarded a plane, took off, transferred..
flew all night and
finally arrived at my final destination...
they picked me up at the butt crack of dawn
drove the autobahn, and by way of a very special route...up and around ...into their lovely little home town
we stopped and got pastries and dom made cappuchino and had a delightful breakfast on their sun porch...before sunday morning mass
bells rang, the priest sang, and dom played...piano...for the first time since he's been there...
then we came home and napped and watched the baby move around!
then her parents came and we visited a wonderful monastery on the hill overlooking the river...
there were cows and guinea pigs
and fresh milk and produce, and pretzels and beer...
then her brother and sister in law came and took us to a wonderful dinner...
which I was all together too tired to enjoy...
and finally I went to bed after 40 hours awake?!?!?
and woke...finally in Germany
this morning!!!!
we went to the mid wife
then dom went to work
and brought asparagus ''SPARGEL''
home for lunch
and we had spargel wrapped with proscuitto, and hollandaise...mmmm
.
and now we are going to have another cappuchino mmmm
and
the rhubarb cake vanessa made this afternoon
that has been smelling absolutely delicious all day!!!
