I arrived when the ferns were yet unfurled
and the moon was blue
and the days and nights were full of expectation

somehow all these days
have turned into weeks
and suddenly a month has passed
the baby is a month ''old'' today...
the chestnut trees along the rived are no longer in bloom

the wisteria hanging beneath the arbors has long faded away

the purple and white lilac along the monastery way have turned to bush

and the spring greens of the hillside across the way
are now dark with the full greens of summer

there is still rain...
but now most of the days the sun fills as well

the daffodail, tulip and azalea
have been replaced with columbine and rhododendrum
our time is coming to it's end
as the month of roses,
my birth flower
June
swiftly comes our way
