yearn

DSC_0880
a long long time ago
...four months
our first grandchild was born
...far far away
I was so blessed at the time
...by being able to be there

...but now I am here
with an ache in my arms
and in my heart

I used to have longings
but now I know what it is to
...yearn

so tender! your post gives credit to the fact that to yearn means I have already experienced in some measure the wonder and beauty my soul craves. The knowing creates the yearning. What a paradox! I hope you have many opportunities to embrace that precious child again and again. Blessings.

Beautiful photo! I am blessed to have my grandgirls just across the field. And still, when they are not here, in my arms, I yearn.

it's a heartbreaking love, isn't it? I hope you get many chances to be with them again.

Oh, I could feel the yearning as I read your words and saw the precious photo. Such a difference~longing and yearning. Hoping you have more days of full arms.

Blessings,
Janis

The sweetest. Nothing like holding a baby. You capture the beauty of it here.
