twisted on the windowsill
where I left it when I showered
simple, still, shining, silver
snow falling on the lavender
releases the sweet summer scent
ice on the roads
mid January
and the tree's buds
are already large
just waiting for the warmth of days
that will burst them open
with spring's first pink
that will burst them open
with spring's first pink
watching, waiting
praying, playing
while the snow pours down
and cars spin out
and cars spin out

Lovely addition to your Winter Post. Cars spinning out! Sorry the snow disrupted your visit with daughter.
With 40 years writing a journal, you must have a ton of stories to tell and to blog.
Suggestion: Your children need to have these written down to share with their children. I print each story that I post on 3 hold paper and save to a binder. Also I use a flash drive to save them to incase my computer crashes.
