firsts...

today it snows...
as it did one year ago

not here
but where they stood
in ballerina slippers
and suit and tie
hand on belly yet to be

and today in honour of their day
we not only wake to that blessing yet again
but grace covers us in its whiteness...
the whole day through...

and grace upon grace

yesterday
on their anniversary eve
while I savored sweet waffles and the rain wakened spring
a story that began on two separate apples
on his apple continued

with the addition of a couple new pictures for her to review
under a tree
in his birthday hammock

our baby girl agreed to be wed

she told us she no longer has a boyfriend
but a fiance...
a husband soon to be

first a new daughter

and a grandbaby
and now another son...our family

AND bambino takes his first steps!
