thank you, Lord for moments that change
otherwise
I'd be the one looking over a hotel balcony
into a little girl and boys' faces
I'd be nothing more than the bad that I feel
demanding and demeaning
who drove those closest to me to
depression and desperation
because of my own
but I open my mouth to say
I am afraid
and even if my precious words are lost in the shadows
of your own dark fears

sometimes shadow
there is
more than me
than what I see
what I feel
what I know
what I want
what I lack
there is beauty
there is here

will the arms catch me

I do believe
Lord, help my unbelief
let the moments keep changing
shining in the darkness
light in the morning
