morning's mozart
lilting out my window
cannot obliterate the garbage cans and truck's dumping
crashing in
on the edge of darkness
walking
sacred ground
blessing upon blessing enumerated
and enumerated again
brought low
by desire
not for the scandalously
beautiful
but for the perfectly simple
the holy
eyes strain
light
glistening in the darkness
All things are lawful for me
but not all things are helpful
all things are lawful for me
but not all things edify
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being
