becoming one

"the Lord our God, the Lord is One"
"You shall love the Lord
with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength"
              Deuteronomy 6:5

which is the great commandment in the law?”
 Jesus said to him,
“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it:
‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
                 Matthew 22:36-40

seems like two!?!?!

no...because loving each other
is loving God incarnate, in each other, in this world...present
one

"Lord, when did I see You naked, hungry, thirsty, a stranger, sick, in prison?"

Untitled
I reside
Untitled
between darkness and light
Untitled
the warmth of sun
the dark of night
Untitled
yet somehow
they are one
one
not separate
not isolated alone
next to each other
touching each other
giving beauty to each other
because of the other the other is seen
existing within the context of each other
without darkness there is no light
Untitled
I need not be afraid of the terror of the night...
                  Psalm 91:5

perhaps I need to learn to embrace
the darkness the light
the solitude the isolation
the warmth the comfort
as one
Untitled
just a little more aperture/openness
and light pours in and washes everything out
and what's the beauty in that

and closing down just a little more
produces pure darkness
nothing visible in that

"He will bring to light
 what is hidden in darkness
and will manifest the motives of our hearts
 and then
 everyone
 will receive praise
 from God"
        1 Corinthians 4:5
Untitled
whole
not empty
whole...holy
Untitled
integral
with integrity
every part working together
and open to God and His grace
Untitled
our bodies are His handiwork, His creations
Jesus restores our bodies to wholeness

We need not allow anything to separate us
from the love
and life God offers
Untitled
"honor God...
by faith which is of the mind
by hope which is of the will
and by love which is of the heart"
           St. Pius X

You've caught the lighting so beautifully in these.
