epiphany

(although we celebrated it last Sunday)
the sixth was Epiphany... traditionally... in Europe?!
d&v were going to mass together
he was going to play!

I came in that night after walking around outside taking photos for awhile
and took these two shots
the recoperating husband...
and trying to capture the light reflecting on our water pitcher...surprised to see the 3 kings in the background

I guess we all have our own epiphanies though, surprising us...
 whenever... they may come

this morning we were eating pancakes
and my hubby said he was thinking about how big life is...
about it not being about ourselves...
about living in the present...

it infuriates me when he comes out with these profound thoughts?!?!
dah!
are you just getting that NOW?!??
are you sharing that because you think I need enlightened!?!?

why
am i not just swept off my feet at his
sweet and sensitive sharing.......
why cannot i not respond with encouragement and ahhh......
instead of dah!!!!???!?

maybe i do need enlightened.....................

but right now i am going to go take down all our remaining Christmas decorations........
