really cold milk at the end of another snowy day

yesterday another day of below freezing weather
Light of Life/God's weekend retreat
a fresh snow fell all day while we were inside
after sitting in the big cold hall all day
coming home was so nice
and warm
and we had chocolate chip cookies!

It's the end of the month

and I've been thinking about the coming of Lent

living like a monk

no starbucks
really cleaning
'purging'
walking
scanning and organizing all our photos?!?!?!
and recipies!

preparing to be away when I go to Germany for the baby
preparing the things that I value (all the crazy photos)
preparing to live a simplier life
before the Lord
