five senses friday

five senses friday
Still playing along with abby at abby try again
for five senses friday
She uses the format to reflect on her week...
I'm finding it is a wonderful way to not only reflect
but to realize just how quickly time does go by...
see...i love how she sees her world and composes her stories
see
we had the nieces and nephews for a sleep over
the oldest is now ten...writing, reading, loving words...
I remember when she was just a little baby...now she's the oldest of five

I don't think there is anything that feels more right than having a little head snugged up under your chin...
DSC_0632taste
we forget that our mouths are not just for food?@?!
so much early learning is thru their little mouths!

I stitched this old quilt for our eldest when he became a big brother
and moved from his crib to a big bed, about 25 years ago
I touched every square, recalled where every patch of jeans came from
I don't remember anymore....
and he is preparing to have his first child...

my husband is the back ground music of my life now
it used to be the sound of our kids...and dom's music was the background...

it all goes so quickly
"it's all good...."
