darkness
and rain
sunlight and showers
long evening shadows
after a day of work in my little sidewalk garden
separated daisies
...and thank you, Irene for the birthday gloves!
did I fill my deepest gladness
or meet the world's deepest hunger...
perhaps not
but our little garden can now breathe
and my body aches with accomplishment
and I love having something free to share
with a neighbor and friend
and that makes me very happy
