putting away laundry like any other day
clean and white
last minute wrapping
and last minute shopping
and first time at helping
to create magic
out of dark old boxes
that already hold new traditions
there's always candles
and way more than just seven fishes!?!?
an added "attic Christmas"
and then what we do every year
and whatever that feeling is
that you hope for as you hustle and bustle
and prepare for another Christmas again this year
the perfect feeling that 'is Christmas'
that somehow I feel I might miss this year
I finally....... feel
in an unfamiliar church
visited by us this very first time
so we might be together
this Christmas eve night
as the first notes of
"Oh come, all ye faithful"
strain thru an old organ
being played in stocking feet with a hole in the heel
