all that i am

the kind of morning to pull on a sweater
put a scarf around your neck

                  [her scarf left in a drawer here...somewhere]
and socks on bare feet

                        [these feet will soon walk down the aisle]
or else
just to sit
in the warmth of the newly risen
fastly fading summer sun

                                [he started grad school yesterday]
but the days of sitting in the sun are done...
there is an objective to meet...
...get everything absolutely ready

wiped and washed and wrapped
and tied and tagged
and boxed and labeled and marked and organized
for the big day

so I can be with my girls down the shore
can it be done?
