all that i am
the feast of the Assumption
today's prayer...
Mary has left death behind her
she is totally clothed in life
she is taken up body and soul
into God's glory
and thus placed in glory
after overcoming death
she says to us
Take heart
it is love that wins in the end!
Pope Benedict XVI
....May we see heaven as our final goal...
yesterday at mass 'the girls' sang
David Haas' "Magnificat"
and
"We Walk by Faith, and not by sight"
and the tears just flowed...
so much
so fast
a whirlwind
the years since this blog began...
{named after the lovely Magnificat refrain}
the years since it all began
for us
a wedding
babies
sweet baby days
one
two
days at the pool
back to school
eighteen
twenty four out of the house
out of the country
out of our life
out of sorts
everything whirling by
only the cyclone remains ever permanently still
even the PRT is back up and running
another year of round and round on it's ceaseless track
and here we are
where another summer ends
carrots on the counter
and peach cobbler in the oven
fall begins
in just another month
there's a trip to the beach
and do does... another drive across the country!
{to Seattle}
another month and a half before the new life together begins
a wedding
a dress
tuxes and toys
a son in law
added to a daughter in law
and before we know it
it'll all begin again
babies
sweet baby days
one
two
eighteen
twenty four
out the door
bim moves this weekend
grad school
the nephew's family moves next weekend
and begins their third year of married life
in the home of their dreams
coco moves gradually
merging their things
so that they can...live together!!!
after their honeymoon....in their 'newlywed house'
and then do's big move to far away
it's happened all too fast
it's all I can do to grasp and hold on
to comprehend
or not
if I could...would I have changed anything/everything?
would I have found that little barn house on the cliff
overlooking the sea
renovating and painting
and being just by myself
me
instead
but then
I would miss these two arms that hold me close
in the night
when the whirling and spinning of days into years does not stop
America's TODAY'S THE DAY
Hold me close
You turn nighttime into day
And you're the most
Brightest star that lights my way
So come home to me now
'Cause it won't matter anyhow
I've got this feeling that today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
Turn me out
Turn me out on this fine day
'Cause all about
All the people like to play
So come home to me now
'Cause it won't matter anyhow
I've got this feeling that today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
I've got this feeling that today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
Hold me close
You turn nighttime into day
And you're the most
Brightest star that lights my way
So come home to me now
'Cause it won't matter anyhow
I've got this feeling that today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
I've got this feeling that today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day
I've got this feeling today's the day ...America's TODAY'S THE DAYall that i am
