Wednesday of ordinary time...
yes
we are beyond the days
It is Wednesday
I must go back to work
rather than driving to the city again!
I would so rather stay at home today
a day to myself
to think of all those who were such beautiful presences over these days
to write thank yous!
to process all that has happened
to order my thoughts and feelings
to have a good...cry...
to begin to order and organize wedding prints
to set our home in order again
although I must say the piles are fairly organized
there's only a small pile of gifts lingering in the foyer
though cards keep coming in the mail...
all her stuff is in one corner of the basement
all the reception stuff in another
and all do's stuff is in the attic
someday I'll get to it all...
but not today
today the world begins anew
or maybe it was last night...
as I backed out of our drive-way
on the way to my monthly hospital ministry
supervisory meeting
ready to begin again with hospice
after quite a long reprieve
for the first time in four days
the sun burst through the clouds
just in time to create a glorious sunset
warm upon my check
and clear to my vision
as I drove across the Pleasant St. Bridge...
