out
early morning this morning
with time to sit and watch
the only sun of the day
trying to make its first appearance
and as I sat and watched and prayed
all I was aware of
was that this same sun
had already shone
warmly
on the little holy one
as he trekked to the market
or ran in the park
and was already trying to wake him
from his afternoon nap
and here it was
just making its first appearance in our new day...
trying to bring the same warmth to us
