but making them is always at the last minute
this year bim wrote us a merry message

with re-purposed candle sticks
from the wedding of mr and mrs leer...
the tree at twilight
the balls that hang over our table with care...
last year little baby hands reached up there
this year
this child wide eyed at night
the new husband lighting her birthday week
'joy' candle {gaudete}
all is calm all is bright
dinner together
lemony goodness and chocolate for dessert
toys are opened
and found music serenades us
as we prepare to head off to church
and the little family heads home
to their very first Christmas
in their home of their own
by the chimney with care
and day follows night

in the morning
presents and presence
surprises for us all!!!!
