waking warm together

frost in the morning
sunshine in the afternoon

frothing coffee at the counter
they say the world is ending soon

cliffs
and calendars
cataclysm
catastrophe
and Christmas

eating and drinking
marrying and giving in marriage
wars and rumors of wars
see that you are not troubled
for the end is not yet
take heed that no one deceives you
for many will come in my name saying "I am He"
     and will deceive many
the sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give its light

the stars of heaven will fall
    and the powers in the heavens will be shaken
the beginning of sorrows, distress, perplexity
   famines, pestilences, earthquakes, the sea and waves roaring
first the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world
   and then the end will come
men's hearts will fail them from fear
     ...and the expectation of those things which are coming
when they say 'peace and safety'
   then sudden destruction will come upon them
these are the the days of vengeance
that all things which are written may be fulfilled
be ready
for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect
for as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west
so also will the coming  of the Son of Man be
when these things begin to happen
   look up
   and and lift your your heads
   because
   your redemption draws near
this generation will not pass away
   until all things take place

heaven and earth will pass away

   but My words will by no means pass away
take heed to yourselves
   lest your hearts be weighed down
   with carousing
   drunkenness
   and cares of this life
that Day come on you unexpectedly
watch therefore
and pray always
that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things
and
to stand before the Son of Man

you are not in darkness

   so that this Day should overtake you as a thief

you are all sons of light and sons of the day

we are not of the night nor of darkness

therefore let us not sleep

but let us watch and be sober

putting on the breastplate of faith and love

and as a helmet the hope of salvation

"For God did not appoint us to wrath

but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

who died for us

that whether we wake or sleep

we should 

live

together with Him"
