Every woman has a tipping point beyond which
she cannot continue to live the way she is living
because the grief over it is killing her.

When she has pleaded with her husband to stop doing certain things,
or start doing an important thing,
or change something, or help her in some important way,
or seek help for his problem,
and her words continue to fall on deaf ears,
a time can come when she realizes she cannot tolerate that problem any longer.

She doesn’t want to be divorced.
She is not leaving for another man.
She dreads having to dismantle her home.
But she believes she no longer has a home for her heart,
and the only way to survive and have peace is to leave.

Who among us can judge her?
How many women can live with anyone of those things year after year
in their home – which is supposed to be a place of refuge?
