Oh, night that guided me,
Oh, night more lovely than the dawn,
Oh, night that joined Beloved with lover,
Lover transformed in the Beloved!           St. John of the Cross’s poem “On a Dark Night”
weeping may endure for a night
but joy comes in the morning
           Psalm 30:5

comes the sunlight
after a night
of sleep under big blue
in July?!?!
the days of cool change continue
breakfast together
pulled on a sweater
scented with residual holy
a cup of tea tonight
planning another wedding

I can't remember the last time I had tea....
