all that i am

Merton brought his camera on walks and photographed what moved him

letting the camera reveal what was there 

rather than bringing to the camera what he expected to see




the sun leaves
going away in glory

I wander 
thru the kitchen on the way to bed
and he has done the pots and pans

I wake 
to the sun and a friend and tears 
on the swing

and a water spot left on the counter 
from his making of the coffee...

and she takes me 
as she has her entire life
to places I never knew to go...
